Harbord between Spadina and Bathurst

The Harbord area in between Spadina and Bathurst is a wonderful place to explore. It is an area that looks at first passing to be a somewhat run-down and forgotten location. Some storefronts are boarded up and most cafes and restaurants close just after dinner time. Near Borden and Harbord, an old Fish and Chips place looks as though it has not changed its sign since the 1950s. I wonder how it stays open in a location with little else surrounding it in terms of shopping and dining. I enjoy the fact that, on a street such as Harbord, an interesting shop or a quaint restaurant will be a surprise. A sight so unexpected that it can be appreciated fully and leaves a lasting impression in your mind.
